Quality Assurance and Control
For Pressure Vessels and other Fabrications
Our Pressure Vessel Quality Program is based on ASME Section VIII, Division 1, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements, IS 2825 or any other national and international standards. Our comprehensive Quality Control Program covers the controls governing each and every steps we fabricate, such as:
- Development of QAP
- Material control
- Material handling
- Marking, cutting, edge preparation, pre bending, bending
- Dished End Preparation (outsourced)
- Weld procedures, certification of welders, weld log
- Non-destructive examination
- Documentation
- Second and Third Party Inspections
Pressure Vessel Testing & Inspection Capabilities
In-house checks and inspections are performed by the Quality Control teams as well as shop supervisors. It is supplemented by the second party (client) and client nominated Third Party Inspection (TPI) Agency (if any).
- Water Fill Testing : Hydrostatic testing services
- Liquid Penetrant Testing : We have established liquid penetrant procedures (colour contrast and fluorescent) meeting the requirements of the ASME and other standards. Liquid penetrant examiners are certified on these procedures.
- Radiography : Aefab Annapurna Engineering provides Radiography (X Ray, Gamma Ray) testing services with Level 3 and Level 2 certified radiographic technicians.
- Ultrasonic Testing : We use Ultrasonic testing facilities for welding quality.
Experienced Fabricator
Aefab Annapurna Engineering production personnel are accomplished craftsmen and experienced fabricators. Their abilities include skills such as:
- Operation of hand-held welding and grinding equipment
- Utilization of a variety of measurement and testing device
Availability of Equipment such as:
- Shear and brake press
- Welding – SMAW, MIG and TIG
- Grinders and Polishers
- Plasma cutting
- Pipe rolling

- Associate machining facilities
- Tank layout and fit-up

We promote production lead positions from within our existing workforce ensuring that supervisory personnel are properly equipped to perform their responsibilities, which include overseeing the work, quality checks, inspection of work and safety supervision, to name a few.
